For the quarter, I took a step into SPU’s Theology Department and through the doors of Alexander and Adelaide Hall. I spent time sitting on the hallway pews of SPU’s oldest building. I followed the Dean and Cadence, his assistant in special projects, around as they worked on a creative, new project. I found that the second-floor chapel makes for a great interview spot: I asked the hard questions with one professor and the fun ones with another. I dusted off the history of that old brick building, tracing it back thousands of years before the first brick was placed.
